Ol
Pejeta Conservancy is a 364sq. km wildlife conservancy located between the
Aberdares and the foothills of Mount Kenya. Ol Pejeta is the only park with The Big Five Animals and chimpanzees.

Furthermore,
Ol Pejeta conservancy hosts four of the last seven remaining Northern White
Rhinos in the world. It is also a home for several southern white rhinos and
about 80 endangered black rhinos.

teaching culture, ecology as well as the importance of sustainable wildlife

Ol
Pejeta Endangered Species Boma
A
visit to Ol Pajeta Conservancy will be incomplete without a visit to the
endangered species boma. Here, you get to see the endangered northern white
rhinos. At the moment we have only seven northern white rhinos in the world,

The
boma also has two black rhinos, six southern white rhinos and several Jackson’s
Hartebeest and Grevy’s Zebras. Visitors to this place can pre-book their spaces
due to the limitation of two vehicles being allowed access per day.

In
case you are planning to pay a visit, the entrance fee is US $15.00 per person
for a minimum of three persons or a total of $35.00 for one or two people.
The
Swetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary
Within
the Ol Pejeta Conservancy is Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary. The sanctuary cares
for more than 800 orphaned or confiscated chimpanzees. Established in 1993, it
was designed as a refuge for orphaned chimpanzees that were evacuated from a
Burundian civility due to the outbreak of the 1994 civil war.
Sweetwaters
Chimpanzee Sanctuary is the only place in Kenya where you can enjoy the view of
non-indigenous chimpanzees. The island inhabited by the chimpanzees is divided
into two by a river. One half being occupied by the older chimps while the
other half by the younger ones.

The
only access to see the chimpanzees is by boat. The total number of chimpanzees
